Seraphina's Legend

This painting was a throw-back to a painting I did when I was 9 years old. I recently had located a picture of the painting on my childhood bedroom wall and realized that I really wanted to recreate the painting and pay tribute to the original. 

I thought I was crazy and didn't believe that anyone would love it as much as I did. That maybe it was an older love of the enchanted. I was pleasantly surprised and found that this was quite a conversation piece. 

This piece gave me the confidence to paint what I loved and was called to create and not what I hoped that other people liked.

I named this piece "Seraphina's Legend" because Seraphina or seraphim angels are the highest-ranking angels of God and are known for their intense passion and zealous love. These were definitely feelings I had when I completed this piece.

Medium: Mixed Media - I start with texture paste then add a layer of spray-paints, then Acrylics and finally oil colors.

All pieces are completed with varnish.
